Our story
Hi, there!
We are Amrit Brar and Gurleen Duggal, a husband-and-wife duo on a mission to break the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Our personal struggles highlighted the gap in mental health support services, as little was available to promote self-love and care in times of need.
Blissmind began as a project to support people experiencing common mental health issues like anxiety and depression. It has grown into something more expansive, focusing on mental health self-care and encompassing a variety of mental health problems.
Gurleen and three of her friends, Kirsten, Lana, and Ranjit, all have experience working as frontline mental health practitioners and felt the pain of others. Their support spurred the movement, built on a foundation of friendship and consistent encouragement from those with first-hand experience
A lack of support remains for people struggling with their mental health, which most people will experience in their lifetime. It’s time to remove the stigma, educate people, and start talking about mental health.
